Render testing a hair from swam3d in blender

After unsucessful attempt to create my own hair model last week, this week i decided to try free hair model that i found online. Daz and/or Poser characters had many users, and many of those users have been contributing back to daz and poser communities by giving 3d models for free. For this experiment, i choose 'Renella Hair' from swam3d.com. For those who want to download the files, you can get it at swam3d.com.

The way i used it(the hair model), is by opening it on daz3d application and attach it to the genesis character. At this time, i don't really mind if the hair seems doesn't really fit into the character, as long as they follow the chacacter's position when i pose the genesis character. After i pose the character, i export both the hair model and the character into obj model. Then i import them to blender.

After importing it to blender, i made few adjustment. First, i separated the hair model from the character. The way i do this was by changing the selection mode from object mode to edit mode, then in the material panel i select the material from the hair which are HairShort, HairLong, HairFront, HairFine and Scalp. after selecting the material i click the 'select' button on the bottom of the material list. After all the vertices from the hair model was selected, i then press P for separating the hair from the character. After that i deleted all the material that wasn't belong to the hair model. After the material panel was clean, then i map the hair texture to the material...

here's some render test for the renella hair in blender...
